Networking and servers • Re: How do I access OMV from a Raspberry Pi?

Probably the same way you'd access any other SMB share on a pi:

On the desktop: open file manager then smb://server/share

From the command line: sudo mount -t cifs //server/share /mnt

To automatically mount at boot:[shameless self promotion]Using fstab A Beginner's Guide[/shameless self promotion]

The above just touches the surface with a couple of examples.
Well It is actually NOT working, it asks for the password and the cloud icon shows up in file manager but the path is my local attach point.
Is there a way I can buy you a beer for your help? I don't want to be "That Guy". I think i am close.

Not with the file manager, sorry. I'm mostly a command line guy and rarely use it. I also have no experience of OMV - never used that either.

Unless OMV does something non standard, the user name and password you need to supply when prompted are those of the OMV user you want to connect as not of the local user on the Pi. Try teh same credentials you use on your Windows boxes.
