Thanks. Not having a dependency on a remote resource is already a lot better, especially if the whole thing is pointless.
However, it still builds picotool each time you do a clean build and in my case that was taking about 8-10x longer than the code I actually needed to rebuild.
Building ELF2UF2 seems to take forever, if that's what it's really doing. Maybe it's doing all the linking at that point and not reporting exactly what it's doing.
