Surely if you don't want to worry about this 'problem' stick with the RP2040. It's slightly less powerful but not much.
RPi have listened to industrial users' issues about the RP2040 and looks like they've solved them for the RP2354 with the onboard flash. Obviously it's not to credit card or automotive security standards, but it's more than useable for most applications.
Since it was launched our clients have used umpteen reels of RP2040s at JLCPCB but I've already got several of our designs upgraded to new versions just waiting for Mike Buffham to allocate some reels of RP2354 to China.
