The way I mount a USB drive is by filesystem label. Fido didn't like cartoon characters so now each filesystem is named after a different breed of cow.I apologize for confusion.
Actually it is automatically created mount point for a partition on the USB drive.
Likewise I am using a Plex server. For the same reason, how can avoid this from happening ?
Thanks

I think the idea was to draw attention to the fact that Walt Disney's Goofy was not really a dog. Once labeled you can mount the drive with something like
Code:
# mount LABEL=guernsey /x/guernsey
The point is that it doesn't matter if the drive is detected as sda, sdb or whatever, because you can logically refer to the filesystem by its label.
